The Weekly Charlie

We apologize that this edition took so long, we’ve been experiencing some major technical difficulties. I HATE Vista, and that’s all I have to say about that.

Memorial Day weekend, Charlie took his first trip to Birmingham, AL. He got to meet all of the extended family on Trey’s side. He also got to meet his Great-grand Tutu (Hawaiian for grandmother).

Its was a wonderful life moment to be apart of four generations (on both sides) gathering in one place.

Granma (my mom).Grandaddy (my daddy).Great-grand Tutu (my dad's mother).Four generations, that amazes me!Grand Joy (Trey's mom).It was a long car ride. That's my baby boy!I don't think that our first child, Harley, likes sharing the lime light.Great-grand Meme (Stan's mother).Great-grand Pappa (Stan's dad).Great-aunt Susan and her daughter Brittany.May I introduce Charles Stanley Skaggs Sr., Charles Stanley Skaggs Jr., Charles Stanley Skaggs III and Charles Robertson Skaggs. There are no words.Grand Stan and his little sis.I figured I needed to be on the other side of the camera for once.Great-aunt Brenda.Great-grand Mother and Great-grand Dad (Joy's parents).A glimpse into the future.Great-uncle Jerry and his daughter Shannon.Shannon flipped out when Charlie pooted.HOLD HIS HEAD THOMAS!Great-aunt Judy.My attempt as Anne Geddie.Ok, mom can we stop now? You've taken almost 200 pictures! What's sad is I really did.

On Sunday, June 1st, Charlie turned two months old!

Then on Wednesday he went to his two month check-up, he got his shots and he did wonderfully you would have never known that he had just had his shots. His only side effect was that he needed some “hold me” time.

Friday we went to the water park. We didn’t go in the water this time but next time we’re gonna have some fun!

Saturday, all three of us went to Charleston’s Annual Duck Race. Every year 15,000 rubber ducks are thrown into the Wando River, the first 25 to cross the finish line win different amounts of money, but the first place prize is $15,000. Plus, in the one and million chance a random duck number is drawn before the race and if that’s the first duck to cross the finish line you win ONE MILLION DOLLARS! We sponsored two ducks and sadly we didn’t win anything, but we had fun despite the heat. After, that we went over to Senior Chief Felton’s house for a good ole summer BBQ. We ended up spending the majority of the day outside which we didn’t mind even though it was hot!

Yesterday, our friends, Ryan and Nicole had their baby shower. They have four more weeks left! I’m so excited for them. I got to make my favorite gift, a personalized height chart. I think I might make a bunch of these and sell them online later on.
